I went for a walk in the snow today and in every beautiful diamond glint I saw your face.. Is it true Gem? Is it you.....? Is that your laughter that I hear through the trees? Is that your giggle that wafts in the breeze? Is that really your hand when it all gets too much? Is that your warm breath when I feel that soft touch? I need to know Gem, coz you see the chains of pain wrap so tight Some days it is like I can barely breathe And I cry outloud Why? Oh why did you have to leave? I want to be strong As I know you're okay Just miss you so much it gets worse, more each day.. But for now I will sit and I will shed a tear because it is Christmas and you are not here.. And then I will look out at the magical snow with the beautiful diamond glints that shine in the sun and glow on the ground and, I will try to smile as you are letting me know you ARE still around...
